The Business Manager of Client Management & Origination for Wholesale and Institutional Clients (CMO WIC) is responsible for supporting the CMO WIC leadership team, Business Development and Account management teams in order to achieve our short and long term commercial objectives in terms of clients, assets-under-management and revenues. This role requires a candidate who has strong interpersonal skills and is committed to excellence, and has and has the personal presence and demeanour to represent Kempen with distinction.

Area of business

The role centres around supporting the leadership team of CMO WIC in a broad area of topics. This can range from developing further insight in the client and prospect base, ownership of (development of) CRM system, compliance and risk related activities and special projects. This involves finding your way within the organisation as well as the coordination, project management, and collaboration with other members of the organisation in order to meet assigned sales goals and firm-wide product initiatives.

The Role & responsibilities
The Business Manager is responsible for supporting the leadership team and CMO WIC:

  • Support / execute (on behalf of) the LT CMO WIC;
  • Coordinating & ownership CRM, including further development / use;
  • Coordination & ownership AUM and financials (Power BI apps, planning cycles, finance information);
  • Annual budget round CMO WIC, tracking/reporting KPI’s;
  • Coordination and execution of information flows within CMO WIC and  outside as well (week in review, information sessions, etc);
  • Point of contact for Operations, IT Devops, Digital analytics (DAAT). Work collaboratively with other departments within Kempen to meet clients’ needs and objectives;
  • Participate in CMO WIC (strategic) projects;
  • Front role for Business Conduct and 1st line of defense monitoring; responsible for “house in order”:
  • Risk: key controls, risk reporting, SIRA, etc;
  • Compliance: living the values (policy framework, training, updates, etc.;
  • Part of CDD specialists; go to person with client onboarding (transaction monitoring / suitability / etc).

Key Qualifications

  • Previous relevant experience within asset management;
  • Hands on mentality;
  • Client first mentality;
  • Good networking and collaboration skills
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with a CRM systems, Power BI, and other applications;
  • Sound industry and investment knowledge across a wide range of traditional and alternative Investment products;
  • Knowledge and affinity with Risk and Compliance topics;
  • Ambition to grow further within commercial environment;
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

  • Being able to amalgamate multiple data sources;
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills;
  • Strong time management, organisational and problem solving skills;
