We are looking for a quantitative portfolio manager in our Real Assets team.
In the role of Quantitative Portfolio Manager Real Assets you will be part of the Real Assets Team at Kempen Capital Management. The Kempen Real Assets Team manages real estate and infrastructure strategies with assets under management totaling approximately € 2.5 billion. The team works in an innovative and data-driven approach and has a world-leading investment track record versus its benchmarks and versus peers. We proud ourselves in doing things differently through the application of information technology and data-analysis.
In the position of Quantitative Portfolio Manager Real Assets you will be responsible for maintaining and developing our data-infrastructure through the use of R, Alteryx and Tableau. Our data-infrastructure is the backbone of our investment process. We process in excess of 25 million data-points daily to help analyze the quality of real estate and infrastructure, financials, management- and corporate governance quality. The combination of investment- and data knowledge is critical in this role and the position is of high value-add to the investment team.
The Kempen Real Assets investment team consists of 11 team members and operates as an independent investment team within Kempen Capital Management working closely with other investment specialists within our organization.
We are looking for a driven, eager to learn, and ambitious professional with 2 to 3 years working experience in data-engineering. You’ll have an entrepreneurial mindset: data analysis at Van Lanschot Kempen is at an early stage, so you’ll be pioneering and building. Our new colleague also needs to be a strong communicator: you’ll spend time helping people understand the basics of data-analysis and -engineering and how to use it in our investment process.
- Master's or PhD in a quantitative field (applied mathematics, computer science, …);
- At least 2 to 3 years of applied data-engineering experience in a business setting;
- Good knowledge of Alteryx, R, Python, Tableau or similar programming tools;
- Experience working with structured data in SQL;
