At the Internal Control department we strive for optimal risk management in collaboration with various departments such as Compliance and Non-financial Risk Management. Our team of twenty professionals monitors compliance with measures and work instructions using a robust monitoring program. Our daily efforts are focused on the confidence of our customers in the safety of their assets. During your internship you will conduct research into the processes in which you work.
That is what you will use your talents for as an Internal Control Intern at Van Lanschot Kempen. As an intern in the field of risk management within Internal Control, you play an important role in the pursuit of an 'in control' organization. Together with the team you work to identify, assess and manage risks in various processes, in close collaboration with the business. You will have the opportunity to optimize the control framework and participate in projects focused on continuous monitoring and automating controls. You also provide support in carrying out control testing and contribute to increasing awareness within the organization.
You will also have the opportunity to participate in inspiring training and awareness sessions, where you will not only increase your knowledge, but also expand your network. And let's not forget the fun drinks! You will also have the opportunity to come into contact with other interns throughout Van Lanschot Kempen through various events. After successfully completing your internship, you have the option to continue working with us, both during and after your studies. You use these talents to guide our customers and employees every day through a continuously changing world. By thinking further and asking questions. And that is good if you also think ahead and have an eye for details. This is very important, as you always put the customer first and work together with your colleagues within the team.
In addition:
- You are following a degree at HBO level (mininum);
- You work in an organized and accurate manner, are flexible and stress-resistant;
- You are proactive, communicative and positively critical;
- You have an affinity with risk management and are able to think out of the box;
- You are available at least 40 hours per week for 20 weeks;
- You have a good command of both the Dutch and English languages, both orally and in writing.
