Making mistakes is human, and particularly when people work with complex processes and systems. It’s our mission to identify what has caused errors and so improve our organisation. Wherever possible, we get in right at the start of a project, allowing us to advise and adjust where necessary. This is the best way to check that goals and actual policies match.

You’ll be working as part of a team of around 13 colleagues in our Audit department, which makes your added value immediately visible to all. As you’re working in your own “niche”, we rate entrepreneurship and independence very highly indeed. You’ll be given plenty of space to develop and we provide in-house training for any other specialist skills you’d like to acquire – a flexible approach that you can expect from us.

Risk

All banks run a gamut of financial risks, including interest-rate risk, liquidity risk and market risk. Although primarily a wealth manager, so do we. The fun in working at our Risk department is that we’re relatively small and not a separate silo, making your role all the more important. Many of our colleagues also appreciate you managing to keep a clear overview.

Our department is in almost constant contact with De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) and we’re responsible for a whole range of models for stress tests, covering such risks as credit and market risks. If you join us, you’ll probably spend a lot of time making these models even better. And one real challenge is to translate this complex information into easy to read, accessible documentation. That’s how we operate within sensible parameters, and keep our organisation solid and stable.
