Senior Compliance Officer - Zurich

Van Lanschot Kempen Switzerland represents the international wealth management proposition of Van Lanschot Kempen and is looking for an enthusiastic and pro-active Senior Compliance Officer to join our Swiss team based in Zurich.

In this role you will have broad exposure to the day-to-day compliance activities and you will work within a dynamic environment that will allow you also to develop further as a compliance professional. You report to the Head of Compliance Switzerland.

As a Senior Compliance Officer, your duties include:

• Reviewing client files prepared by the Front Office to assess compliance and client integrity risks, covering areas such as KYC, AML/CFT, sanctions, bribery and corruption, and client tax integrity.
• Acting as the main point of contact for Relationship Managers and other internal stakeholders or team members regarding compliance matters.
• Developing and implementing compliance controls within specified timelines, including proper documentation and escalation of findings to senior management and other internal stakeholders.
• Developing and maintaining internal policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with group-level requirements.
• Contributing to Compliance training programs for employees.

To successfully fulfil this mission, you have:

• University degree in law, business administration, or a related field, preferably obtained in Switzerland. Compliance certification is advantageous.
• At least 5 years of experience in compliance, risk management and/or audit functions, preferably within Swiss Private Banking.
• Profound working knowledge of Swiss and/or European regulations, including AML/CFT, FACTA/CRS, investment suitability, cross-border, market abuse, sustainability, and other compliance risks.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate with various business lines and work across different locations.
• Fluency in German and English is essential, with a strong preference for proficiency in Dutch.
